Alpharetta, GA, April 20, 2005 — Provaré Technology announced today an agreement with Cingular Wireless’s Georgia RF Engineering Department related to the integration of the Cingular “orange” cellular network with the former AT&T Wireless “blue” cellular network into a single “Gold Standard” in Georgia. This effort is the result of the merger, completed last October, of the two wireless telecommunications giants into the nation’s largest cell phone provider.
“The complexity, the tempo and the demand to maintain quality during the process presented some extraordinary challenges on this project,” says Mike Stephens, Director of RF Engineering for Georgia. “Without a thorough understanding of all of the processes and procedures involved, there is no way we can be successful. Provaré will play a vital role in developing, communicating and implementing the necessary processes- and then, most importantly, evaluating and fine tuning the processes for maximum effect. They are in a unique position to evaluate organizational effectiveness from an outside perspective- yet be tightly woven into the day to day operation of the organization to ensure appropriate understanding of the needs and effectiveness of their recommendations.”
“We’ve been asked to not only work on documentation and improvement of the existing processes but also to help educate and communicate the processes to members of the Cingular family who aren’t directly involved on the project,” says Sandi Tepper, co- founder of Provaré Technology. “The breadth and scope of this project are daunting – but with the team that is in place, we can’t help but be successful.”
The Integration Project brings together RF engineers, the real estate team, the implementation team, project managers, switch engineering, field engineering, billing, and even sales and customer service in order to ensure that customers continue to experience the quality of service Cingular is known for.
